Willemijn Koning has studied History at the University of Amsterdam. She published articles and gave guest lectures and talks on Amsterdam in the 19th century. She teaches in several disciplines: Dutch to foreigners at Taalhuis Amsterdam and Nedles; thesis and study coaching; and also ballet classes for children of all ages.
In her spare time too, Willemijn follows her three passions: language, dance and history. She loves costume dramas (Downton Abbey is by far her favourite); dance performances; the books of Paulien Cornelisse, Geert Mak and Jane Austen; the Spanish language and last but not least: André Hazes!
