Sing along evenings for students Dutch as second language. Why?
I love singing, and although my language skills aren’t great: Quand le soleil dit bonjour aux montagne, Du bist alles was ich habe auf der Welt and Para bailar la bamba se necesita una poca de gracia will never get out of my head. For you it might be useful to know the lines: Dirty hypocrite, grab your suitcase or to moan: It’s over again that beautiful summer. In Dutch!
Fortunately, Accordionist Henk Meulenbeld or Winfried Veenker and singer Ben Overmeeren are enthusiastic to participate. Accompanied by them, everyone will sing! The songs in the repertoire are all Dutch classics and easy to sing along. And these songs are known by most Dutch people, at least the choruses, so you can impress your Dutch friends.
The sing-along evenings are primarily meant for people whose mother tongue is not Dutch. But everyone is welcome to sing along, Dutch people as well!
Please take a look at www.singalongdutchsongs for more information, the songs, the lyrics and the music.
